2002-present Professor, National Risk Assessment Laboratory for Antimicrobial Resistance of Animal Original Bacteria; College of Veterinary Medicine, South China Agricultural University, China.
1991-1996 Lecturer, College of Veterinary Medicine, Tarim University, Xinjiang, China
Research Interest:
My work focuses on antimicrobial resistance particular in animal original Salmonella and Escherichia coli. In China resistance in bacteria is getting worse and worse, not only compromising the effect of antimicrobials, but also posing threat to human and public health. My specific interests relate to understanding the evolution of antibiotic resistance, transmission routes of resistance, as well as the study of membrane proteins in terms of resistance, e.g. multidrug efflux pump (AcrAB-TolC) in fluoroquinolone-resistant Salmonella and E. coli.
